Location: London – Office Based
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid 3 days in office is mandatory.
Travel: Occasional offshore travel as required

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager to oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of offshore cable installation activities from an onshore project environment.
This is primarily an office-based role, working closely with project, engineering, commercial and marine teams, with occasional offshore travel during key installation campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimise offshore cable installation and logistics strategies.
  • Manage offshore installation contractors, MWS and subcontractors.
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate vessel mobilisation, tooling, training and installation readiness.
  • Lead planning for cable lay, burial and protection activities.
  • Manage HAZID/HAZOP processes and monitor technical risks.
  • Provide progress updates and technical reporting to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with clients, vessel crews, offshore teams and onshore support functions.
  • Ensure safe, efficient and compliant offshore execution.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Marine, Ocean or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' offshore experience, ideally in a leadership or installation management role.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore cable installation, vessels, ROVs and trenching equipment.
  • Experience managing contractors and offshore installation activities.
  • Good understanding of offshore HSE and marine regulations, including SOLAS, IMCA and LOLER.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid BOSIET, GWO and offshore medical required for offshore travel when necessary.
