Who are we looking for?
We now have the opportunity for an exceptional Production Operative to join our team in Wigan. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar field and who holds a Fork Lift Truck licence.
What will you be doing?
The Offshore Production Operative is responsible for mixing and packaging products at our Wigan facility, with a primary focus on our Offshore range of water-based fluids. The role includes following standard operating procedures, manual handling of materials up to 25KG, following internal quality standards, mixing, blending and packaging products and storage and handling of chemicals in a manufacturing environment.

- Ensure products are blended following applicable works instructions & SOP’s.
- Accurately measure and mix chemicals following job specifications and safety guidelines.
- Safe and efficient handling of chemicals in a manufacturing environment.
- Package products, label & seal containers to the correct quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Conduct inspections, checks and calibrations of equipment as required, reporting faults to Management.
- Assist in offloading, storage, and handling of chemicals and materials.
Who are You?
We are looking for an exceptional individual, who has had:
- Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in a mixing/blending position.
- Functional Maths & English skills.
- Ability to read, understand & follow written instructions.
- Ability to complete basic subtraction, addition, multiplication & division.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Fork lift truck experience.
What competencies will you need?
- Production Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment is preferred.
- Process Understanding: Basic knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment operation.
- Safety & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with chemical safety, PPE use, and regulatory requirements (e.g., COSHH).
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Quality Focus: Understanding of quality control principles and the importance of product consistency.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately complete production records and follow written procedures.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
