One to One Crisis Intervention, established in 1997, provides specialized solo placements for young people who face significant challenges in engaging with traditional settings. Acting as an alternative to secure provisions or a step-down from such environments, the organization focuses on fostering stability and growth. With a tailored therapeutic approach designed to meet the unique needs of each young person, One to One is dedicated to creating opportunities for positive transformation.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Ofsted Registered Manager located in Newton Abbot. The role involves leading and managing the day-to-day operations of a children’s care home in line with Ofsted regulations and compliance standards. Key responsibilities include:

The Registered Manager will also oversee the implementation of individualized therapeutic plans tailored to the young people's needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing a children’s home or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and compliance standards
  • Leadership, team management, and staff development skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to create and implement personalized therapeutic care plans
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification), or willingness to work towards obtaining it
  • Empathy, resilience, and a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable young people
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
