About the Role

The OGC Assistant – Conflicts is an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel team. This role will be responsible for preparing conflicts reports, entering and maintaining data in the conflicts database, and supporting other activities related to the Conflicts team’s responsibilities, while assisting with special projects when requested. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and finalising conflict check reports using the firm’s conflicts database, Intapp Open, for distribution to lawyers, analysts, and other staff
  • Communicating with lawyers and staff regarding conflict check results and any missing information from the Intapp request form, validating the requirements for the conflicts check with the lawyer or secretary requesting the report
  • Updating data in the conflicts databases as necessary; conducting corporate research using internal and external information resources to confirm the accuracy of the information
  • Communicating and coordinating updates in the database with the Accounting Department or other departments as deemed necessary
  • Providing coverage of department functions during work, after hours, and weekends as needed

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
