Job Description

We are seeking a skilled EC&I Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of our Westfield Energy From Waste (EfW) plant.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, electrical and control systems that support critical plant processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, calibrate and repair instrumentation, analysers and control systems.
  • Maintain plant equipment including motors, generators, turbine controls and auxiliaries.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC and DCS control systems and associated circuits.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
  • Plan and carry out maintenance work using schematics, drawings and OEM manuals.

Qualifications

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship in Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar safety qualification.
  • HNC/HND in Engineering desirable.
  • Technical training in instrumentation, automation or control systems.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Experience

  • Solid experience as an EC&I / instrumentation technician.
  • Experience in industrial, power generation or process environments.
  • Strong knowledge of transmitters, valves, analysers and calibration.
  • Experience working with PLC and DCS systems.
  • Good understanding of safe plant operations and HSE requirements.
