Company Description

At Home Instead Shrewsbury, Oswestry & Wem, we're dedicated to helping people remain safe, happy and independent in the place they love most – their own home. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, person-centred care and building meaningful relationships with both our clients and our Care Professionals.

We're looking for an organised, confident and motivated Office & Field Coordinator to join our friendly team. This is a varied role that combines office administration with field-based support, making it perfect for someone who enjoys working with people while also keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll play a key role in supporting our clients, Care Professionals and office team, helping us continue to deliver the exceptional standard of care that Home Instead is known for.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and organised On-Call Coordinator to support our team during morning and alternate weekend on-call periods.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am to 8:30am
  • Alternate weekends: On call from 4:00pm Friday until Sunday
  • Average of 31.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls from Care Professionals and clients.
  • Responding to staff sickness and absence notifications.
  • Arranging emergency cover for care visits when required.
  • Supporting the smooth delivery of care services.
  • Completing on-call records and handovers.
  • Additional administrative duties may be available for the right candidate.

This is an hourly paid position. Some shifts may be quiet with no calls received; however, you will be paid for all scheduled on-call hours.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Previous care, coordination, customer service, or administration experience is desirable but not essential.
