About the Role
ITV Signpost is an award-winning production unit based in the North East of England, part of ITV, producing over 1,500 hours of content annually for broadcasters, businesses, brands, and digital channels. As an inclusive production company, we focus heavily on diversity and aim to support accessible media.
We are seeking a highly skilled British Sign Language (BSL) professional to join our dynamic team as an On-Screen Presenter, bringing fluent BSL and on-camera expertise to our projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Presenting information clearly, professionally, and engagingly in fluent BSL for screen content.
- Translating and interpreting spoken, written, or lyrical content (including lyrics) into accessible BSL renditions.
- Preparing for shoots by reviewing scripts and content in advance to ensure seamless delivery.
- Maintaining linguistic accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity in all presentations.
- Supporting the development of accessible media, adhering to best practices in inclusive communication.
- Managing workload effectively while meeting strict production deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
✔ Fluency in British Sign Language (BSL) with a minimum qualification at Level 6 or equivalent. ✔ Experience presenting on camera in media, broadcast, or digital environments. ✔ A proactive and solution-focused approach to work. ✔ Strong interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanour. ✔ Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
