Electrician

HMP Wakefield (WF2 9AG)
£30,866 - £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance
39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30; Friday 07:30 - 16:00; Saturday to Sunday 07:45 - 15:45; 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis with an additional 15% salary allowance.

Amey is recruiting an Electrician to join the FM team at HMP Wakefield, carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and testing across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Fault finding and repairs
  • Minor installation works and testing
  • Electrical inspections to BS7671 standards
  • Ensuring systems remain safe and compliant

What We're Looking For

  • Typical level 2 electrical qualification
  • 18th Edition (17th Edition considered)
  • Maintenance and fault-finding experience
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Basic IT skills
