Join Picoso at a Pivotal Stage
Picoso is looking for our first major hire to join us at a pivotal stage in our journey, and help build the on-trade side of the business into something truly special - building on the fantastic momentum and reception we have had in the last 15 months.
This role is not centred around following an existing sales framework. It's about helping create the playbook.
You'll work directly alongside the founders as we grow our presence across bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels and hospitality groups throughout the UK. We see this as a collaborative partnership where your experience, relationships and ideas will help shape both the sales strategy and the future direction of the brand.
We will support you to maintain relationships and listings, and give you the opportunity to grow your sales network around the UK.
We're looking for someone who wants more than just a sales role. Someone who enjoys being hands-on, thinking creatively, building relationships and helping create a business they can be genuinely proud of.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Growing Picoso's presence across the on-trade through both new business and existing account management
- Building meaningful relationships with venues, groups, wholesalers and industry partners
- Spending time in market sampling, educating and supporting customers
- Working closely with wholesalers and distributors to maximise distribution
- Leading conversations around commercial agreements, retros and account growth opportunities
- Evaluating and developing exciting activation plans that increase visibility while delivering commercial return
- Identifying new opportunities, regions and partnerships that can accelerate growth
- Representing Picoso within the hospitality industry and helping build both our and your reputation in the industry

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
A Seat at the Table
One of the most exciting parts of this role is the opportunity to influence the wider business. As an early team member, your input won't stop at sales.
We want you involved in conversations around:
- Brand building
- Trade marketing
- Events and activations
- Social content
- Industry partnerships
- Product opportunities
- Long-term growth strategy
Your perspective and experience will directly influence how Picoso evolves.
How We Work
We believe great people do their best work when they're trusted.
- You'll have significant autonomy over your time, priorities and approach, whilst working closely with Tom to decide where effort and investment should be focused.
- You'll work directly with both founders and we'll spend time together in person at least once a week to collaborate, plan and problem solve.
- We want someone who feels ownership over the success of the business and is empowered to make decisions that help drive it forward.

Support to Help You Succeed
We recognise that growth requires investment. Subject to commercial opportunity and business requirements, budget will be available for:
- Travel to develop new regions and opportunities
- Strengthening relationships with existing customers
- Sampling activity (inc. equipment)
- Events and activations
- Strategic listing opportunities
- Other initiatives that can demonstrably help grow the brand
If there's a strong commercial case, we will try and support it.
The Bigger Opportunity
While the immediate focus is growing the on-trade business, our ambition is larger. We see this role developing into a future leadership position, with the opportunity to build and lead your own team in the near future, with the possibility of ultimately becoming Head of On-Trade Sales as the business grows.
You'll gain experience across every aspect of the on-trade function - from wholesaler management and commercial negotiations through to activations, strategy, forecasting and team building - hopefully viewing this as an opportunity to develop not just as a salesperson, but as a commercial leader.
You'll have the chance to help build a challenger brand from an early stage, growing your own profile within the drinks industry and really shaping Picoso’s future alongside.
