Onboarding Administrator
Location: Bupa Place, Salford Quays
Hybrid working (minimum 1 day in office per week)
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Position Type: Full-time position: 37.5 hours
Salary: Up to £28,500 DOE
Role Overview
We are looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Onboarding Administrator to join our team.
This role would suit someone with experience in a similar position within People Administration, Recruitment Administration, HR Administration, Shared Services, or Onboarding Administration, who understands the importance of delivering an efficient and compliant onboarding process.
You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 30-40 candidates at any one time, guiding them through their onboarding journey from offer acceptance through to the successful completion of all pre-employment checks. You'll be a key point of contact for candidates, ensuring they are kept informed, supported and engaged throughout the process.

What you'll do
- Manage the onboarding process for new starters and internal movers.
- Handle a caseload of approximately 30-40 candidates at various stages of the onboarding journey.
- Ensure all onboarding activities are completed within agreed SLAs and quality standards.
- Review and process the documentation required to progress offers of employment through the relevant HR systems.
- Issue accurate and compliant contracts of employment.
- Send the appropriate onboarding documentation and candidate communications.
- Initiate relevant pre-employment screening and background checks.
- Monitor the progress of screening activities and proactively follow up where required.
- Escalate any delays in the screening process in line with agreed procedures.
- Build strong relationships with candidates to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience.
- Clearly communicate the onboarding process and expectations to candidates.
- Provide regular updates and maintain consistent communication through multiple channels.
- Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers and wider stakeholders to ensure a smooth onboarding journey.

What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative role such as:
- Onboarding Administrator
- Recruitment Administrator
- HR Administrator
- People Administrator
- Shared Services Administrator
- An understanding of onboarding processes, employment contracts and/or pre-employment screening activities.
- Experience managing a high-volume workload and multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an excellent candidate experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work within deadlines and service levels.
