About Smokeball

Smokeball is powering people-law. Our legal practice management software lightens the administrative burden, so legal professionals have more time for the people who need them most.

With offices across Australia, the US, and the UK, we're united by a clear purpose – and that purpose has shaped a culture worth being part of. This year, Wrk+ recognised us as one of Australia's Best Places to Work, and we've been certified a "Great Place to Work" again.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an Onboarding and Training Team Lead that is passionate about helping our clients get the most out of Smokeball from day one. This is a true player-coach role: you’ll lead and develop a small team of onboarding and training specialists, while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver hands-on. You’ll bring an organized, methodical approach, and you’ll be comfortable coordinating across internal teams (sales, support, product, client success) as well as directly with law firm staff and leadership.

Beyond day-to-day delivery, you’ll help shape how we onboard and train clients at scale. That means continuously refining our onboarding journeys, project plans, and documentation to make sure they’re fit for purpose as our client base grows. Legal industry experience is a strong plus, but not a dealbreaker – we care more about your ability to build trust with clients, structure a great onboarding experience, and lead a team that does the same.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
