Role Overview

This role requires a desire to gain a deep understanding of both a market and customer’s compliance requirements. Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service) products and customer engagement capabilities is desired, and a passion for providing an excellent customer experience is essential.

This role requires an interest in regulatory requirements, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage and verify large volumes of sensitive information. This role will ensure that healthcare professionals (pharmacists and/or optometrists) comply with applicable regulations, laws, and internal policies.

Our ideal Onboarding Compliance Officer will have demonstrable experience of the below:

Development and Maintenance of Compliance Activities

  • Assist in the development, performance, and maintenance of compliance activities for the organisation.
  • Monitoring customer onboarding progress using automation tools and from this providing proactive outreach where issues are identified with locum onboarding.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Risk Assessment

  • Participate in risk assessments, audit reviews, and monitor compliance within the organisation.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support regarding compliance matters within your team cross functionally to other relevant departments.

Policy and Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with leadership to review and update compliance policies, procedures, and protocols. Ensure that they reflect current regulations and best practices in healthcare compliance.
  • Identify shortfalls in existing policies and processes.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current policies and recommend necessary changes.
  • Assist in drafting and implementing new policies as needed.

Reporting and Planning

  • Prepare and present monthly reports on compliance activities.
  • Continuously monitor the compliance status. Prepare detailed reports on compliance findings and communicate results to management as and when required by your manager.
  • Track remediation efforts and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.

Document Review

  • You will meticulously review all necessary documentation to ensure that locums meet the requirements for working as healthcare professionals.
  • Validate that all documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Relationship Management

  • Work closely with clients and users to deliver exceptional service.
  • Foster positive relationships with locums and address any concerns promptly.

Participate in Product Development Activities

  • Assist the product team in identifying processes and current functionality that could better support the compliance journey of the customer.

  • Results Orientated: Consistently meet or exceed predefined Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets across relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate superior attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks and communication. Be able to identify errors and inaccuracies in all compliance documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Able to work effectively with the Compliance team as well as other teams within the business as necessary.
