Onboarding Coordinator
At Grundon, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven Onboarding Coordinator to join our people team based at Benson on a part-time basis.
Purpose of the Role
Reporting into the people team, you will play an important role in supporting our mission of leaving a better planet for future generations. You will coordinate and manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring new employees have a positive, compliant, and seamless start with Grundon. The role supports new starters, hiring managers, and key stakeholders to deliver an excellent employee experience from offer acceptance through to successful integration into the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all pre-boarding and onboarding activities, including contract generation, pre-employment checks, and onboarding documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new starters, providing support throughout the onboarding journey.
- Coordinate payroll, IT, facilities, equipment, and system access requirements to ensure a seamless start date.
- Maintain accurate employee records and process new starter information within HR systems, including Dayforce.
- Work closely with hiring managers and Learning & Development to deliver inductions, training, and probation support.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new employees to monitor progress and enhance the onboarding experience.
- Produce onboarding metrics and reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes and practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Company policies and procedures, health and safety requirements, and undertake other duties as reasonably requested.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an HR, recruitment, onboarding, administrative, or customer service role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling employee records and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Previous experience using HR systems is desirable, with experience of Dayforce would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with new starters, managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of data protection principles and the importance of handling confidential information appropriately.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; a CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD is desirable but not essential.
