Onboarding Coordinator Team Lead
We are looking for a Onboarding Coordinator Team Lead to join our dynamic Operations Team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to support the Onboarding Operations Manager across projects involving the Onboarding department and the wider Business Services function. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the Apprentices to ensure that they are supported through their studies and help us maintain our high quality level of service to the business.
About the Role
The Onboarding team at Addleshaw Goddard helps set new clients up to work with the firm. Their role is to collect key information and make sure everything is correct before any legal work begins. This includes verifying the client, the work they do and making sure everything is legally compliant, especially regarding conflicts of interest and rules to prevent money laundering. The team also makes sure all the information is organised so that lawyers can start helping the client quickly.
Functions of Onboarding
- Conflicts: The Conflicts team checks to make sure that the firm can work for a new client without issues or clashes with other clients. For example, is the firm helping someone else who might be on the opposite side of a legal case?
- Financial Crime & Sanctions: This team protects the firm from illegal activities like money laundering (attempts to hide money made from crime) and makes sure the firm follows rules about working with certain people or countries.
- Operations: This team is responsible for the maintenance of the Intapp Intake system and the administrative tasks required to ensure that the workflows of the Onboarding Team are efficient.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
