Head and Neck Oncology Dietitian
Due to EMCA funding, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 6 Head and Neck Oncology Dietitian on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Based primarily across Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital, and Grantham Hospital, this role offers the opportunity to develop prehabilitation pathways in partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals, improving care and treatment for head and neck cancer patients across organisational boundaries.
The successful candidate will manage an independent caseload whilst working closely within the multidisciplinary team. Previous oncology experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent clinical, communication, and organisational skills, with an interest in the care of head and neck cancer patients. A proactive approach to service development, evaluation, audit, and quality improvement is essential, alongside the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
You will contribute to innovation and service development while receiving regular clinical supervision and support to achieve your professional development goals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
