About Elite Global Academy
Elite Global Academy is an international online English school providing live, teacher-led English lessons to children, teenagers, and adults around the world.
As we continue to expand our American English programs, we are looking for qualified, professional, and engaging English teachers with native-level American English proficiency and a clear American accent to join our international teaching team.
Teachers based in the United States, as well as qualified educators based internationally who have strong experience teaching American English, are particularly encouraged to apply.
About the Role
You will deliver live online English lessons via Zoom to international students across a range of ages and proficiency levels.
Lessons are offered on both an individual and small-group basis and typically last:
- 30 minutes
- 45 minutes
- 60 minutes
Our programs focus on developing practical English communication skills, including:
- Speaking and conversational confidence
- American English pronunciation
- Listening comprehension
- Vocabulary development
- Grammar
- Reading and writing
- General English
- Academic English where appropriate
Although our students range from young learners to adults, we are particularly interested in teachers who have experience working with children and teenagers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured, and interactive English lessons via Zoom
- Teach American English pronunciation, vocabulary, and language conventions
- Teach individual students and small groups
- Adapt lessons to students' ages, abilities, and learning objectives
- Help students develop confidence and fluency in spoken English
- Support students with grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and pronunciation
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional online classroom environment
- Prepare appropriately for scheduled lessons
- Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance
- Build positive and consistent relationships with students
- Maintain a professional standard of communication with the school

Essential Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Native-level American English proficiency
- A clear and natural American accent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching English online
- Experience teaching children and/or teenagers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence using Zoom and online teaching tools
- A reliable internet connection
- A suitable professional environment for online teaching
- A punctual, organized, and dependable approach to scheduled lessons
Teaching Qualifications
Candidates should hold at least one recognized teaching or English-language teaching qualification.
Relevant qualifications may include:
US Qualifications
- US State Teaching License or Teaching Credential
- ESL / ESOL teaching certification
- ELL – English Language Learner endorsement
- ESL / ESOL endorsement attached to a state teaching license
- TESOL certification
- TEFL certification
- TESL certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English
- MA TESOL
- MA Applied Linguistics
- Degree in Linguistics, Language Education, or a related discipline
Other recognized US teaching or English-language education qualifications
UK Qualifications
- QTS – Qualified Teacher Status
- PGCE – Postgraduate Certificate in Education
- PGDE or equivalent recognized teacher-training qualification
- CELTA – Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- DELTA – Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- Trinity CertTESOL
- Trinity DipTESOL
- TEFL or TESOL certification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English
- MA TESOL
- MA Applied Linguistics
- Degree in Linguistics or Language Education
Other recognized UK teaching or English-language teaching qualifications
Equivalent internationally recognized qualifications will also be considered. A formal TEFL/CELTA qualification is not required where the candidate already holds a recognized professional teaching license, QTS, PGCE, Education degree, or equivalent teaching credential and has relevant English-teaching experience.
