Online GCSE & A-Level Geography Tutor
£50 per hour equivalent Remote | Online | Part-time | Long-term opportunity
Olympus Geography is looking for experienced Geography teachers who are passionate about getting real results for students and helping young people feel confident in their Geography exams.
This is a remote teaching role delivering online group classes of up to 10 students, with the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with students and earn additional performance-based bonuses.
The Role
You will deliver engaging, exam-focused Geography lessons online to GCSE and/or A-Level students.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality online group lessons of up to 10 students
- Using Zoom confidently to deliver interactive lessons
- Teaching exam technique and helping students understand how to maximise their marks
- Creating and providing your own teaching resources, including:
- PowerPoints
- Kahoot quizzes
- Interactive activities
- Polls
- Exam technique activities
- Other engaging digital resources
- Engaging individual students within a group environment and ensuring every student has the opportunity to participate
- Answering student Q&A between classes
- Providing post-lesson reports
- Uploading lesson resources for students
- Completing monthly student reports
- Giving live feedback during lessons where appropriate

What You Won't Be Required To Do
There is no regular marking workload involved.
You will not be expected to mark students' work outside of lessons. The role focuses on live teaching, exam technique, student engagement, feedback and supporting students between classes.

Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate would be:
- A current or former GCSE or A-Level Geography examiner
- Highly confident teaching exam technique
- Experienced in preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level Geography examinations
- Comfortable creating engaging digital teaching resources
- Confident delivering lessons through Zoom
- Able to build strong relationships with students online

Minimum Requirements
You must have:
- At least 5 years' teaching experience
- Strong experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Geography
- Confidence in teaching exam technique
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to engage students in an online group setting
- Must have availability on evenings and weekends
- Minimum 1 hour of teaching a week
- Confidence using Zoom and online teaching technology
- The ability to create your own high-quality teaching resources
- Reliability and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality lessons
