Olympus Geography is a leading online Geography education provider dedicated to helping students achieve outstanding results in GCSE and A-Level Geography. We are looking for an experienced Edexcel A-Level Geography Tutor & Examiner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about Geography and committed to helping students reach their full potential.
The Role
As a GCSE or A-Level Geography Tutor & Examiner, you will deliver engaging online lessons while providing students with expert guidance on examination technique and assessment. Your examiner experience will enable you to give students valuable insight into how marks are awarded and how to maximise their performance in Edexcel examinations.
You will also contribute to the development of high-quality teaching resources, revision materials, and practice assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online A-Level Geography tuition to individuals and small groups.
- Teach the Edexcel A-Level Geography specification to a high standard.
- Support students with content knowledge, revision planning, and exam technique.
- Provide detailed feedback on essays, extended responses, and practice papers.
- Use current examiner knowledge to explain mark schemes and assessment expectations.
- Create and review teaching resources, revision guides, and exam materials.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate lesson records and provide progress updates.
- Contribute ideas to improve teaching resources and student outcomes.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) or significant experience teaching GCSE / A-Level Geography.
- Current or recent GCSE/A-Level Geography Examiner.
- Excellent knowledge of the Edexcel A-Level Geography specification.
- Proven experience improving student attainment.
- Strong understanding of assessment objectives and mark schemes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build confidence and motivate students.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable home working environment.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills
- Experience delivering online tuition.
- Experience teaching GCSE Geography.
- Ability to create engaging digital learning resources.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar online teaching platforms.
- Experience supporting Oxbridge or Russell Group university applicants (desirable but not essential).
