Role Description

Online IB Tutors at IB Meridian provide subject-specific instruction to International Baccalaureate students through structured, interactive lessons. Tutors regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. The role includes:

Tutors are expected to uphold professional standards, communicate effectively with students and guardians, and contribute to a supportive, student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in one or more IB subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Economics, or other IB disciplines) and familiarity with IB curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Proven teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with IB or similar rigorous academic programs, and the ability to design clear, structured lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible way and build rapport with diverse learners.
  • Comfort with educational technology, online learning platforms, and digital resources to deliver interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; a teaching qualification, IB training, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a full-time teaching schedule and maintain accurate student records.
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching, continuous professional development, and maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
