Online Learning Officer (Maternity Cover)
Location: Cliff College or remote by agreement
FTE: 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week, to be worked over 5 days)
Salary: £15/hour (£27,300 per annum pro rata)
Description of role:
We are looking for an organised, proactive and digitally confident Online Learning Officer to join the Cliff College team on a part-time basis (21 hours per week) for a maternity cover role. This significant role manages our TheologyX online learning platform, helping to develop engaging online courses while providing training and technical support to learners and colleagues. The role holder will work collaboratively with staff and partner organisations to deliver an excellent online learning experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience and expertise in virtual learning environments, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a passion for supporting the learning journey of others through the thoughtful design, creation and delivery of engaging online learning experiences, as part of the mission and ministry of Cliff College.

Purpose of role:
- To maintain the College’s online learning platform, both for College users (CliffX) and for external partners (TheologyX and dependent instances)
- To support the delivery of online learning opportunities in collaboration with staff colleagues and external partners
Main Responsibilities:
To manage the TheologyX platform:
- Liaising with external providers to ensure the stability and functionality of TheologyX (and dependent instances)
- Managing the various instances of TheologyX to ensure their smooth functioning
- Creating user accounts as required for TheologyX and its instances, including ensuring relevant permissions are set up and regularly reviewed
To support the users of TheologyX:

- Providing guidance and resources to induct and support users
- Providing training for staff that promotes the use of features and integrations that enhance engagement for learners
- Providing first-line and second-line support for users, escalating to third parties where required
To deliver online learning products:
- Liaising with staff and external partners to promote the development of appropriate online learning content
- Coordinating online course creation and building
- Ensuring a timely release of courses, by monitoring and managing capacity and workload
To maintain relationships with the community of organisations using TheologyX for theological education and missional training:
- Maintaining partnerships with external organisations through support and communication
- Generating contracts and invoices for external organisations as required
To play an active role in the life and mission of Cliff College:
- Participating in the College’s rhythm of prayer, worship and community life, as agreed
- Contributing to key College events, such as Graduation and Festival
- Engaging proactively with colleagues and College structures to help cultivate a healthy, flourishing organisation
To complete any other reasonable duties, as required by your line manager, including professional development
