About us
At The Cotswold Company, we make furniture and homeware to be lived with for years. Every piece comes with our 15-year guarantee. We're a certified B Corp, and most of our customers shop with us online. That makes our website our biggest showroom, and we want it to be as well kept as any of our shops.
About the role
Think of this as digital shopkeeping. You'll keep our site accurate, tidy and ready for customers every day: the right copy, the right images, the right prices, in the right order. You'll work alongside our Online Merchandiser and take on the daily detail that makes a considered purchase feel easy. It's a new role, and there's room to grow it.
What you'll do
- Keep product listings accurate, from copy and imagery to pricing and attributes
- Set category page order and sort rules, working with the Online Merchandiser
- Tag products for cross-sell, bundles and shop-the-look
- Add new lines, remove discontinued ones and update categories as the range changes each season
- Build and schedule promotional banners and landing pages from the creative you're given
- Check every change against its brief, before and after it goes live
- Pull regular content reports from GA4 for the team
- Look after product data and feeds, and flag gaps such as missing images or broken links
- Walk the site regularly to spot display, stock or navigation issues, and log fixes with our tech team
- Brief simple asset requests to content and photography, and check what comes back

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
