We have the opportunity for Quality Control Operatives to join our Kerry Team in Coleraine, Co. Londonderry.

This is a full-time, permanent position on 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shifts.

Where will you work?

In Kerry Coleraine we produce variety of flavoured syrups and sauces.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities as a Quality Control Operative will include:

  • Performing routine food safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hygiene checks on the production floor in line with site procedures and Kerry standards.
  • Completing documented verification of critical checks, reviewing records for accuracy, completeness, timing and required limits.
  • Completing, verifying and supporting routine QC checks, including sensory, viscosity, pH, water activity, colour, micro sampling and other site-defined quality checks.
  • Issuing, recording and reconciling labels in line with site label control procedures, escalating any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Supporting investigations into food safety, quality, foreign body, allergens, labelling or GMP incidents by gathering accurate records, samples and observations.
  • Supporting the identification, segregation, hold and status control of non-conforming raw materials, packaging, work in progress and finished product.
  • Completing and verifying Quality Control records accurately, legibly and at the time the activity is performed.
  • Supporting audit readiness, daily floor standards, shift handovers, inspection programmes and close-out of quality actions.
  • Verifying that QC equipment is available, clean, suitable and within calibration before use.
  • Communicating and escalating quality or food safety concerns to the QA Group Lead, Production Lead and Quality Manager.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to record, interpret and escalate key process data accurately.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), allergen controls, label control and good documentation practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete records accurately and on time.
  • Food manufacturing or Quality Control experience would be an advantage.
  • Food Safety or HACCP awareness qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience in production floor verification or positive release checks would be beneficial.
