At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role
Join our team as an Online Sales Manager, leading and growing our online retail sales and maximising income from donated goods through digital marketplaces. You'll develop our online sales operation to deliver sustainable income growth, outstanding customer service, and an excellent supporter experience.
This fixed-term role will be for 12 months and based on site in our shops in Rugby, with regular travel required to other sites across Coventry and Warwickshire.
As our Online Sales Manager, you'll be:
- Developing and implementing an ambitious online sales plan that increase income year on year.
- Maximising the value of donated goods through effective online merchandising and commercial decision making.
- Expanding our presence across appropriate online marketplaces, including eBay, and identifying opportunities for future growth.
- Targeting and maximising income from vintage, luxury fashion, collectables, and specialist marketplaces.
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience across all online sales channels.
- Recruiting, training, and supporting staff and volunteers involved in online sales.
- Promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice across the online retail operation.

This role is vital to our work, because you'll be bringing in and growing income that is essential for funding our palliative and end of life care services.
About you
We are looking for an Online Sales Manager with:
- Experience of working in a retail environment and in digital sales (selling/trading products through eBay or other online marketplaces)
- Commercial retail knowledge and a commercial mindset
- A passion for growing sales, analysing performance and identifying new opportunities
- Customer service experience
- Team leadership, organisation and prioritisation skills
- Attention to detail and good written communication skills
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)
You might have previous experience as an Ecommerce Manager or E-Commerce Manager, Retail Manager, Store Manager, or in Business Development or Digital Marketing.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check including a children's barred list check, because you will be managing some volunteers under the age of 16. We will arrange and cover the cost of this check if you're offered the role.
