We are looking for 2 experienced Surveyors to support a 24-hour environmental survey operation in UK waters.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide positioning support during environmental survey activities, including:
- Drop Down Video (DDV) operations
- Grab sampling operations
Operate and monitor:
- C-Nav GNSS
- Kongsberg uPAP USBL
Maintain accurate acquisition and survey logs.
Additional Scope (Required Experience)
The scope has expanded beyond positioning support, so candidates must also be comfortable providing:
- QINSY survey support, including:
- Survey Manager configuration
- Database management
- Logfile review and troubleshooting
- General acquisition support
- Back deck operations, including:
- Assisting with USBL beacon deployment and maintenance
- Supporting winch operations
- Assisting with A-frame operations
- General survey and vessel mobilisation tasks as required

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous offshore survey experience within environmental, hydrographic, or geophysical operations.
- Strong working knowledge of QINSY.
- Experience with USBL positioning systems, ideally Kongsberg uPAP.
- Comfortable working both in the survey room and on deck.
- Strong organisational and logging/documentation skills.
- Able to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced offshore environment and adapt to changing operational requirements.

Key Requirement
We're specifically looking for well-rounded surveyors, not purely acquisition personnel. Candidates should be equally comfortable managing survey systems, maintaining accurate data and logs, and providing practical support on deck when required.
