Role Summary

We are seeking motivated undergraduate/graduate students to become Online Tutors, delivering one-on-one tutoring sessions to school-aged students. This part-time role is designed to fit around your university schedule, allowing you to work remotely and build your resume with practical teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and interactive online tutoring sessions.
  • Assess students’ learning needs and create tailored lessons to help them improve their skills and confidence.
  • Provide clear explanations, practice exercises, and constructive feedback to support student growth.
  • Track student progress and share updates with parents or guardians as needed.
  • Utilize digital tools and resources provided by MathsAndEnglish.Net to enhance your tutoring sessions.
  • Set your own availability to balance tutoring with your university commitments.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student or graduate
  • A passion for teaching and helping younger students succeed academically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain concepts in a clear, relatable way.
  • Comfort with technology, including video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and online platforms.
  • A patient, empathetic approach to working with students of varying skill levels.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet space for conducting sessions (e.g., your dorm or home).
  • No prior teaching experience required, we’ll provide training and support to help you succeed!
