Confident Futures Academy is UK-based, connecting learners and families with experienced, qualified teachers for personalised online tuitions.

About the Role
We are looking for qualified and experienced teachers to join our network of online tutors.
As a tutor with Confident Futures Academy, you will work independently with learners and their families, providing high-quality online tuition tailored to the individual learner's needs, goals and curriculum.
You will have the professional freedom to use your own teaching expertise and develop lessons that are appropriate for each learner.
Tuitions may include:
- One-to-one tuition
- GCSE preparation
- A-Level preparation
- Catch-up support
- Exam preparation and revision
- Support for learners who need additional challenge
- Confidence-building and study skills
- Home education support
- Support for learners with SEND or additional learning needs
- English as an Additional Language (EAL) support
- Language tuition
Subjects:
We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers with expertise in:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- French
- Spanish
- Modern Foreign Languages
- Humanities
- Primary education
- SEND
- EAL
We are also interested in hearing from teachers with other subject specialisms.
What You Will Do
As a tutor, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised online lessons.
- Adapt your teaching to the learner's individual needs, abilities and learning style.
- Follow the curriculum and examination requirements relevant to each learner.
- Establish positive and professional relationships with learners and parents or carers.
- Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate feedback.
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
- Communicate professionally with learners, parents and the Agency.
- Maintain accurate records where required.
- Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of learner information.

Professional Autonomy
We recognise that qualified teachers are education professionals.
Confident Futures Academy does not prescribe a single teaching method. Tutors are expected to use their professional knowledge and experience to determine appropriate teaching approaches for each learner.
You will be responsible for your own lesson planning, resources and teaching methods, subject to the requirements of the learner's curriculum and any agreed tuition arrangements.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for teachers who are:
- Qualified teachers with relevant teaching experience.
- Experienced in the subject or age range they wish to tutor.
- Passionate about education and supporting learners.
- Able to build positive relationships with children, young people and families.
- Reliable, organised and professional.
- Confident delivering lessons online.
- Able to adapt teaching to different learners and learning needs.
- Committed to safeguarding and child protection.
- Respectful of professional boundaries.
- Able to work independently.
Experience of GCSE or A-Level teaching is particularly welcome.
Experience supporting learners with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs is also highly valued.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding is fundamental to the work of Confident Futures Academy.
All tutors working with children and young people are required to meet our safeguarding requirements before being introduced to clients.
Tutors are expected to:
- Hold an appropriate Enhanced DBS check where required.
- Hold an up-to-date Level 2 Safeguarding Certificate.
- Provide evidence of safeguarding training and DBS checks when requested.
- Complete the required safer recruitment checks.
- Follow the Confident Futures Academy Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
- Follow appropriate safeguarding procedures when working with learners.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.

Tutors must maintain professional boundaries when communicating with learners and must use agreed communication channels.

There is no guarantee of a minimum number of tuition opportunities. Tutors are free to accept or decline individual opportunities.
Self-Employed Status
Confident Futures Academy operates as an employment agency.
Tutors registered with the Agency are self-employed independent professionals and are not employees or workers of Confident Futures Academy.
The Agency introduces tutors to prospective clients seeking tuition services. Where a tutor accepts an opportunity, the tutor and client will enter into the appropriate tuition arrangement.
Tutors remain responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations and for determining how their tuition services are delivered, subject to agreed safeguarding and professional requirements.
As part of our safer recruitment process, applicants may be asked to provide:
- Evidence of identity.
- Details of teaching qualifications and experience.
- References.
- DBS information.
- Safeguarding training evidence.
- Details of relevant subject expertise.
- Information regarding availability.
- Any other information reasonably required to assess suitability.
