About the Company
A valued client within the renewable energy sector is expanding its workforce and is looking for skilled Onshore Installation Technicians and IRATA Level 3 Offshore Blade Technicians to support upcoming wind farm installation and maintenance campaigns across Europe. We are keen to speak with both immediately available professionals and those approaching the completion of their current assignments.
About the Role
Onshore Installation Technician (Wind Turbine Installation) - Contract
Responsibilities
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in the wind energy industry, supporting onshore wind turbine installation projects.
- Proven OEM wind turbine installation experience from assembly through to mechanical completion.
- Demonstrated experience installing major turbine components, including:
- Tower sections
- Nacelles
- Hubs
- Blades
- Internal mechanical systems
- Experience working on utility-scale onshore wind farms during construction and installation phases.
- Ability to read and interpret OEM installation manuals, technical drawings, lifting plans, and work instructions.
- Working knowledge of torque and tensioning procedures.
- Familiarity with mechanical completion and quality documentation requirements.
- Experience working alongside crane operations and heavy lifting activities.
- Strong commitment to HSE standards and safe systems of work.

Qualifications
- Mechanical installation and assembly techniques.
- Hydraulic and mechanical systems awareness.
- Bolt tensioning and torqueing procedures.
- Use of installation tooling and specialist equipment.
- Mechanical inspection and quality control processes.
- Reporting non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and lockout/tagout procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid GWO Basic Safety Training (BST):
- Working at Heights
- Manual Handling
- Fire Awareness
- First Aid
- GWO Enhanced First Aid (advantageous).
- GWO Sea Survival (advantageous for specific projects).
- Valid medical certificate (OGUK or equivalent where required).
- Full driving licence.

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with Vestas EnVentus platforms.
- Experience installing V162-6.2 MW turbines.
- Experience with Siemens Gamesa, Nordex, GE, Senvion or Enercon turbine installation projects.
- Previous supervisory, lead technician or installation team lead exposure.
- Experience on multinational projects across Europe.
Job Details
- Location: UK & Europe (Various Onshore Wind Farm Projects)
- Eligibility: UK & EU Nationals
- Rate: €28-34 per hour
- Rotation: 3/1, 4/1 or 6/2
- Contract Duration: 3-6 months (project dependent)
- Start Date: Mobilisation expected over the coming months
