Job Overview
Weatherford currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Onshore Operations Supervisor to join the Fishing Team in Aberdeen.
The Onshore Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant coordination of operational activities supporting offshore customer operations. The role serves as the focal point for operational planning, personnel coordination, equipment readiness, mobilisation activities, and stakeholder communication.
The position acts as a key link between operations, planning, workshop and offshore personnel to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.
Responsibilities
- Support customer operational requirements, develop solutions for client challenges and provide input for client’s well and project planning.
- Coordinate and supervise onshore operational activities supporting customer projects and offshore operations.
- Participate in customer meetings as required and represent the operations function professionally.
- Ensure equipment, tools, consumables, documentation, and personnel are available and prepared to meet operational schedules.
- Support mobilisations and demobilisations of equipment and personnel.
- Participate in operational planning meetings and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
- Promote a positive safety culture and high-performance working environment.
- Supervise assigned fishing tool supervisors, identify training and competency requirements and support employee development.
- Conduct performance discussions, coaching, and employee engagement activities.
- Lead by example in compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
- Maintain effective communication with external clients as well as internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, utilisation, reliability, and service quality.
- Support implementation of new processes, procedures, and operational initiatives.
- Support operational excellence, best practices and cost-control initiatives.

Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in fishing operations.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritise multiple tasks and ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong team working skills.
- Experience in client facing roles.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
