Astute’s Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading international renewable energy business committed to sustainable energy solutions, innovation, and employee development to recruit a Sales Manager with onshore wind for the Northern Europe region.

The strategically important Sales Manager role comes with a salary between £65,000- £80,000, bonus scheme, pension, flexible working arrangements, and excellent long term career development opportunities within a global renewable energy organisation.

Responsibilities And Duties Of The Sales Manager Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will:

  • Develop and deliver the regional sales strategy for Wind Operations & Maintenance services across Northern Europe.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with wind farm owners, operators, and developers.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for long-term maintenance agreements, corrective service contracts, and performance optimisation solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the renewable energy industry.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and bid management teams to ensure service solutions align with customer requirements.
  • Prepare and present tailored technical and commercial proposals to prospective clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments within the Northern European wind sector.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and customer engagement records for senior management review.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • 5+ years’ sales or business development experience within the wind energy sector.
  • Proven background selling O&M services in renewable energy.
  • Strong knowledge of wind turbine technology, maintenance, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements with wind farm owners and operators.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or similar.
  • Northern European languages are advantageous.
  • Understanding of Northern European renewable energy markets and regulations.
  • Familiarity with digital monitoring and reporting platforms within wind operations is desirable.
