We’re excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for an Onsite Business Development Manager working at our customer sites in Exeter and the surrounding areas. The Onsite Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the successful operation, growth, and continuous improvement of onsite client locations. This role combines operational management, business development, customer service, and strategic planning to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, end-to-end service offering.

About the Onsite Business Development Manager role:

Operational Support & Site Management

  • Provide holiday and absence cover for onsite locations, ensuring seamless business continuity.
  • Manage day-to-day onsite operations, including stock and stores management, goods receipt and issue processes, vending machine replenishment, and leading daily morning meetings.
  • Support the setup and mobilisation of new onsite contracts and locations.
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings when required.

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing onsite accounts.
  • Promote value-added services and solutions to support business growth.
  • Drive opportunities to expand turnkey service offerings for customers.
  • Support the future development and sustainability of onsite operations.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively solve operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Review onsite performance and recommend operational enhancements.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with the Branch Manager, including weekly updates.
  • Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide clear reporting on operational performance, opportunities, and projects.

What we’re looking for in our Onsite Business Development Manager:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and proactive business development mindset.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using multiple IT systems and software platforms. Training can be provided.
  • Previous experience in onsite operations, customer service, stock management, or business development is desirable.
