πŸš€ Onsite IT Support Engineer – 2nd Line | Leeds

πŸ“ Seacroft, Leeds – Onsite
πŸš— Company Car + Fuel Card
🌍 Local travel – typically within a 30-mile radius
πŸ’Ό Permanent

Are you an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer who enjoys getting hands-on, taking ownership of technical problems and working directly with users?
We're partnering with a large, growing UK organisation looking for an Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide high-quality technical support across its Leeds-area operations.

Based primarily from Seacroft, you'll act as the technical escalation point for issues that can't be resolved remotely β€” diagnosing complex problems, getting hands-on with workplace technology and taking ownership through to permanent resolution.

There will also be occasional travel to other sites within approximately 30 miles, with a company car and fuel card provided.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire day sitting on a Service Desk.

You'll be trusted to work autonomously, visit sites when required, investigate problems properly and help improve the overall quality and reliability of IT services.

πŸ› οΈ What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing 2nd Line onsite support for incidents that can't be resolved remotely.
  • Taking ownership of complex technical issues through to resolution.
  • Troubleshooting Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, enterprise applications and endpoint devices.
  • Supporting identity and access issues, including MFA, permissions and joiner/leaver processes.
  • Troubleshooting connectivity and workplace technology.
  • Supporting printers, meeting-room technology, shared devices and peripherals.
  • Carrying out equipment replacements, installations and onsite setup.
  • Acting as a technical escalation point for the 1st Line Service Desk.
  • Supporting major incidents where an onsite technical presence is required.
  • Identifying recurring problems and helping eliminate their root causes.
  • Working closely with central Engineering, Service Desk and Workplace Technology teams.
  • Coordinating with third-party suppliers where required.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and asset records.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β€” and where to focus when applying.

The position is designed for someone who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and take genuine technical ownership rather than simply escalating problems elsewhere.

πŸ‘€ What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have 3+ years' experience within a 2nd Line, Desktop Support, IT Support or similar technical support position, ideally within a multi-site or enterprise environment.

We're particularly interested in experience across:
Microsoft 365 | Windows | macOS | Endpoint Support | Identity & Access | MFA | Permissions | Connectivity | Printers | Meeting Rooms | Workplace Technology

You'll need to be comfortable troubleshooting independently and confident communicating technical issues to non-technical colleagues.

πŸš— Location & Travel

Your primary base will be Seacroft, Leeds, with the expectation that you'll work onsite.

There may occasionally be a requirement to support other locations, typically within approximately a 30-mile radius of the base site.

A company car and fuel card will be provided, so you'll have everything needed to travel between locations.

🌟 Why Join?

This is a great opportunity for an experienced 2nd Line Engineer who wants more ownership and variety than a conventional Service Desk role.

You'll join a growing technology function where you'll have the autonomy to solve problems properly, improve how support is delivered and work closely with wider technical teams.

If you're technically strong, enjoy dealing directly with users and like being the person people rely on when an issue needs hands-on investigation and resolution, we'd love to hear from you.
