About us
Remedian IT Solutions is an award-winning provider of IT support to schools and businesses across Greater Manchester. We're looking for an enthusiastic on-site IT Engineer to join our dynamic team, a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in IT and gain hands-on experience in a supportive, fast-moving environment.
The role
As an on-site IT Engineer, you'll provide day-to-day technical support across a number of schools in Greater Manchester, handling incidents and service requests in line with our procedures. Customer service is central to what we do, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering a great experience for every school we work with, not just fixing the problem in front of them.

We welcome applicants at all levels of IT experience who have a genuine interest in technology, including areas such as Office 365, desktop support, Windows 10/11, and phone support. Strong written and verbal communication is essential — you'll need to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical people — along with solid interpersonal skills.
Desirable skills
Full training is provided, so don't rule yourself out if you don't tick every box. Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Helpdesk or ticketing system software
- Basic Active Directory administration (user accounts, password resets, email/security groups)
- Server hardware and/or software
- An IT/ICT vocational or further education qualification
- Windows Servers and Hyper-V
- Routers, firewalls, networking and switches

Additional requirements
This role involves travel between school sites across Greater Manchester, so you'll need to be able to transport yourself and your equipment, and be flexible to provide on-site cover where needed. A full driving licence is essential.
