About the Role
The Onsite Logistics Specialist within our field Logistics department will oversee all operations for assigned site or area and provides tooling and material support to field personnel. This role will be responsible for the coordination of deliveries, tooling, and material inventories and vendor-managed inventories. This position is highly collaborative and shares information internally to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, while delivering extraordinary service.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience: 3-5 years of logistics experience
- ASCM Warehouse Certificate (Preferred)
- Travel: 0-75%
- Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers.
- Maintains tool inventory and processes tool and material returns.
- Works with jobs to coordinate tool repair and replacement of tools.
- Be the contact for issues/concerns on jobsite (area) deliveries.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead a team of 1-2 team members in an area of the operation.
- Make appropriate decisions on shipping/scheduling of tools/assemblies and materials to jobsite.
- Schedules tool and material deliveries and pick-ups.
- Teammate must gain and maintain forklift certification.
- Drive company vehicles as qualified and required.
- Shelf/pick, log, maintain materials as necessary.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Use of standard equipment to move materials is required (carts, dolls, forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Understands and can maintain 5s principles on jobsite.
- Assist with ordering of supplies and PPE.
- Works as a member of a cohesive team and is capable and understanding of Onsite Material Handler role to assist logistics team members.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
