Onsite Engineer

Hybrid, with travel to multiple sites as required

12 Months FTC

£50,000 - £60,000

Role Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Onsite Engineer with strong networking, security, and telephony expertise to support critical infrastructure projects and operational activities.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can independently troubleshoot complex issues, design and implement solutions, and lead technical projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, security, and telephony issues.
  • Design and implement infrastructure improvements and technical solutions.
  • Lead network and telephony projects through to completion.
  • Manage technical risks and ensure minimal disruption to services.
  • Act as a technical escalation point and support junior team members.
  • Travel between sites as required to provide onsite support.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong LAN/WAN support and design experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects independently.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
  • Infrastructure migration and transformation project experience.
  • ITIL or change management knowledge.
