Job Title: Onsite Support Engineer
Location: Southampton
Duration: Six months initial, with potential for extension
Rate: Up to £200 per day via an approved umbrella company
Shift Pattern: Mon to Fri (Site Cover from 08:00 - 18:00; 8hr shift to include 30 min break)

Hiring for a reputed client, this is a hands-on contract role at their R&D Head Office in Southampton, supporting a global account where your impact is visible every day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage fault calls, service requests, and planned changes within the IT support environment
- Provide "Smart Hands" support across on-site infrastructure needs
- Support and help operate the BAT "TechDeck", including:
- PC/Laptop builds
- OS configuration and setting up devices
- Active Directory administration
- Some hardware repair
- Tackle complex cases end-to-end, taking ownership from start to finish
- Build strong working relationships with end users, including VIP/Executives/Senior Management and their support teams
- Complete documentation and maintain accurate records
- Work closely to deliver deskside support across the site coverage window

What You'll Bring
- Confidence communicating with people at all levels and representing the client experience professionally
- Strong organisational and admin skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Solid deskside support capability
- Experience using service/support tooling such as S-NOW (or comparable workflows)
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 environments
- Asset management experience, with a process-driven approach
- Comfortable producing clear documentation as part of your day-to-day work
- A willingness to learn AV support (desirable)
