Job Title: Onsite Technical Services

Location: Southampton

Duration: Six months initial, with potential for extension

Rate: Up to £200 per day via an approved umbrella company

Shift Pattern: Mon to Fri (Site Cover from 08:00 - 18:00; 8hr shift to include 30 min break)

If you enjoy hands-on technical support and taking ownership of complex issues, this is a great opportunity to join a global customer account at their R&D Head Office in Southampton. You'll be the person end users turn to handling fault calls, service requests, planned changes, and delivering Smart Hands support while manning the BAT "TechDeck".

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing fault calls, service requests and planned changes end-to-end
  • Providing Smart-Hands support for onsite IT needs
  • Manning the "TechDeck" and supporting key users across the business
  • Carrying out deskside activity including PC/laptop builds and OS configuration
  • Supporting Active Directory administration and some hardware repair
  • Using Office 365 and supporting Windows 11 environments
  • Handling asset management and producing accurate documentation
  • Engaging with VIPs/Executives/Senior Management and their support teams professionally
  • Taking responsibility for complex cases and driving them to resolution

What You'll Bring

  • A personable, confident communication style - able to represent the service at the highest level and communicate clearly with all levels of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and admin capability, with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid deskside support experience and comfort working in an onsite, user-facing environment
  • Experience using S-NOW and supporting Office 365 / Windows 11
  • Able to support asset management and create documentation accurately
  • A proactive approach to relationship-building with end users
