Lead Contract Manager - Scottish Power

To lead the contract and commercial management function on East Anglia Two Onshore Substation. Responsible for managing and negotiating as needed within the ONSS, with a clear focus on claims and variations and broadly performing the commercial tasks which are needed.
Expectations
- Lead execution and management of a complex high-value agreements with a substantial number of interfaces to coordinate and manage
- Manage all package commercial topics, including securities, payments, contract price adjustments, amendments, variations, notices, commercial disagreements with contractors, claims, budget variation request, etc
- Provide internal reporting
- Ensure the contracts are executed on time, to budget and following the highest industry practice in terms of Quality and Health, Safety and Environment
- Ensure that the contractor complies with the contractual requirements, as well as SPR/IBR company standards, procedures, tools and best practices
- Provide key and strategic delivery advice, assessment and recommendations to the business providing key knowledge, lessons learned and support throughout the whole life cycle to support the business plan delivery.

- Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering/Naval Architectural) OR commercially orientated qualification (Legal, Quantity Surveyor)
- Proven track of contract management
- Proven experience working in multicultural teams
- A good understanding and experience in negotiating and managing contracts
- Focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, while producing high-quality results in demanding timeframes
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written
