Become a Seasonal Stock Operations Assistant
For over 300 years, Fortnum & Mason has helped make Christmas truly magical. From festive feasts and luxury gifts to unforgettable experiences, we've been spreading joy from our iconic Piccadilly store since 1707.
This Christmas, we're looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our Seasonal Stock Operations team and play a vital role behind the scenes during our busiest and most exciting season.
Whether you're replenishing our beautiful sales floors, ensuring stock is available for our customers, or supporting warehouse operations to keep our business moving, you'll be helping us deliver the exceptional Fortnum's experience throughout the festive period.
Available Roles
Retail Replenishment Assistant
- Support our retail teams by ensuring stock is replenished efficiently across the store, helping maintain the exceptional standards and product availability our customers expect.
Warehouse Operative
- Work within our stock and warehouse operation to receive, organise, and distribute products across the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during the peak Christmas trading period.
Recruitment Open Day
As part of our recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an exclusive Christmas Recruitment Open Day at our iconic Piccadilly store.

Important Information
- Seasonal Stock Operations Assistants must be fully flexible to work full-time hours, with contracts available at either 37.5 or 40 hours per week, across 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
- Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends depending on the role and business requirements.
- Start dates will take place from the beginning of September, with most seasonal contracts ending at the beginning of January.
- There may be opportunities for high-performing colleagues to be considered for permanent roles following the festive season.
- Due to the nature of our peak trading period, we are unable to accommodate extended periods of holiday during the seasonal contract.
What You'll Do
- Replenish and organise stock efficiently to ensure products are available when and where they're needed.
- Support the movement, handling, and storage of goods safely and accurately.
- Receive deliveries and maintain stockroom and warehouse standards.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Help maintain the exceptional presentation and availability standards that define the Fortnum & Mason experience.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For
- A positive, reliable, and hardworking approach.
- Previous experience in retail replenishment, stock management, warehousing, logistics, or a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive team player with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility and willingness to support business needs during our peak Christmas period.
- Ability to undertake manual handling activities appropriate to the role.
