Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances based in United Kingdom.

This role offers the opportunity to drive revenue growth across enterprise sales and strategic technology alliances within the global open source ecosystem.

You will:

  • Build and expand relationships with enterprise customers, technology partners, systems integrators, hardware vendors, software vendors, and distributors.
  • Combine commercial leadership with a strong understanding of Linux, cloud technologies, and open source business models.
  • Shape sales and partnership strategies, develop new opportunities, and help customers and partners unlock the value of open source solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally, collaborating with sales, marketing, product, customer success, finance, legal, support, and engineering teams.
  • Provide significant exposure to senior executives and require strong ownership, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate across global markets.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive revenue growth through enterprise sales and/or strategic alliance development across the technology industry.
  • Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with enterprise customers, go-to-market partners, hardware and software vendors, systems integrators, distributors, and channel organizations.
  • Develop and own sales and partnership strategies, identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing engagements.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and business terms while creating mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Increase customer and partner awareness of open source capabilities across Linux, cloud, and related technology ecosystems.
  • Develop sales engagements and manage opportunities through to successful commercial outcomes, consistently delivering against revenue targets and objectives.
  • Work closely with field sales teams to identify, support, grow, and transact new and existing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Support to execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the voice of customers and partners internally while communicating business needs and market feedback to relevant teams.
  • Lead executive-level engagements and strategic interlocks between customers or partners and senior leadership.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to strengthen partnerships, meet customers, and participate in industry and company events.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets and delivering outstanding commercial results within the technology industry.
  • Strong experience with Linux, open source technologies, and open source business or selling models.
  • Experience in enterprise software sales, strategic partnerships, alliances, channel development, or related technology-focused commercial roles.
  • Proven ability to build and expand relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Strong commercial skills, including experience negotiating contracts and complex business terms.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject, or a compelling alternative career or educational path demonstrating equivalent capability.
  • Strong academic performance, with an exceptional academic track record considered favorably regardless of current seniority.
  • Professional written and spoken English, combined with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Confidence to respectfully challenge ideas, exchange feedback, contribute perspectives, and communicate openly.
  • Leadership mindset with a commitment to mentoring others and continuously developing professional skills.
  • Genuine passion for technology, demonstrated through personal projects, initiatives, or other evidence of technical curiosity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively across multicultural, multinational teams and demonstrate respect for diverse perspectives.
  • High level of self-motivation, personal drive, thoughtfulness, and ownership in meeting commitments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally twice per year for company events lasting up to two weeks, as well as travel more regularly for customer, partner, and industry engagements.
