Job Spec:
We are seeking a Progress OpenEdge Database Developer with 6+ years of experience in Progress RDBMS development and database-focused application delivery. The role emphasizes database design, development, performance optimization, data migration, and implementation of small to medium-sized changes in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge RDBMS development.
  • Strong expertise in OpenEdge database design, including tables, indexes, relationships, constraints, and schema changes.
  • Proficiency in ABL database programming and SQL-based data access.
  • Strong knowledge of query optimization, indexing strategies, locking, concurrency, and transaction management.
  • Experience developing database scripts, data migrations, conversions, and deployment packages.
  • Understanding of data integrity, normalization, validation, and database security principles.
  • Experience working in Agile development teams and using ADO and/or Jira.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or similar.
  • Practical ServiceNow experience for tracking defects, changes, incidents, and releases.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to developers, business users, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and team-player skills.
