Operating Partner – Fund Placement & Capital Raising
Senior partnership appointment to lead institutional capital formation for Churchill Partners’ dedicated private equity fund programme
Company: Churchill Partners
Engagement: Operating Partner appointment, alongside a separate placement engagement on market terms
Remuneration: Success-based placement economics, plus longer-term participation for partners who become central to the fund franchise
About Churchill Partners
Churchill Partners is a board-led international acquisition platform headquartered in Dubai. It has partners across the GCC, UK, Europe, North America and Asia.
We acquire control positions in profitable mid-market businesses, typically with US$4m–15m EBITDA. We then build them through governance, operational improvement and bolt-on acquisitions, and prepare each one for an institutional exit.
We focus on energy infrastructure services, industrial services, mining services, strategic materials processing, infrastructure-linked technical services and selected healthcare services. We create value through operations, not financial engineering.
More than 40 Operating Partners support the platform. They include former chairs, CEOs, CFOs, private equity professionals and investment bankers who originate, diligence, finance and govern each acquisition. Since launch, the network has originated more than 25 acquisition opportunities.

The Mandate
Churchill is moving from a deal-by-deal model to a dedicated, closed-ended private equity fund programme. The programme is being structured in ADGM with an independent regulated fund manager, and with institutional-grade administration, governance and reporting.
We are appointing a small number of Operating Partners with proven placement expertise to lead institutional capital formation for the programme, from fund readiness through to first and final close. This is a founding role. You will help decide how the fund is positioned, anchored and brought to market, and you will work directly with the Chairman.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Fund readiness. Shape positioning and benchmark terms. Bring the LP package (deck, ILPA-aligned DDQ, track record presentation and data room) up to institutional standard.
- Anchor strategy. Identify, approach and structure cornerstone commitments, including fee terms, co-investment rights and LPAC participation.
- LP mapping and sequencing. Build and prioritise a global target LP universe across North America, Europe, the GCC and Asia.
- Process leadership. Run LP meetings, commercial and operational due diligence, and the path to first close.
- Co-investment. Support deal-by-deal co-investment syndication, which builds track record and LP relationships ahead of and alongside the fund.
- Manager standards. Advise on the reporting, governance and operational standards institutional LPs expect from an emerging manager.
All investor-facing activity will be carried out within the fund’s approved marketing framework and applicable regulation.
Essential Requirements
- At least 10 years in fund placement, LP relations or private markets capital formation, whether at a placement agent, a bank’s private funds group or a PE firm’s investor relations function.
- A demonstrable record of raising for emerging managers (Fund I or II), including at least one fund taken to final close.
- Personal experience sourcing or structuring anchor or cornerstone commitments.
- Direct, current relationships with allocators who hold decision-making authority, not intermediary chains.
- Regulatory authorisation appropriate to the jurisdictions you cover (FINRA, FCA, DFSA, FSRA, MAS or equivalent), held directly or through a regulated firm.
- A strong reputation, sound judgement and discretion.
Highly Desirable
- Relationships with institutional allocators across North America, Europe, the GCC and Asia, including public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, fund-of-funds, and large and royal family offices.
- Access to emerging manager programmes at US public pensions, endowments and fund-of-funds.
- Relationships with investment consultants and gatekeepers who influence allocations to new managers.
- Experience with mid-market buyout, industrial, infrastructure services or special situations funds.
- Familiarity with cross-border fund structures, including ADGM/DIFC, Delaware feeders, Reg D/Reg S and AIFMD national private placement.
- Relationships with GP seeding, GP stakes or anchor capital providers.
- Co-investment syndication experience.

Engagement and Economics
- Appointment as an Operating Partner of Churchill Partners under our uniform partner framework, with deal-level participation and portfolio board appointments where contribution merits.
- Success-based fees on capital closed from investors you introduce, on market terms, documented in a separate placement agreement.
- For partners who become central to building the fund franchise, longer-term participation in the platform’s fund economics. This is linked to measurable contribution and subject to vesting.
- The role can run alongside an existing practice, subject to conflict management.
Why Churchill Partners
- A founding role in an institutional fund programme, with direct access to the Chairman.
- A live, partner-originated control pipeline in resilient, cash-generative sectors: real assets to show LPs, not only a blind pool.
- A bench of more than 40 senior Operating Partners who bring sector credibility to every LP conversation.
- A GCC headquarters with international reach, and the long-term ambition of a multi-fund platform.
