Operational Account Manager
DP World are recruiting for an experienced and customer-focused Operational Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing and developing one of our key global technology customer accounts, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding service delivery, and the identification of new business opportunities across both Contract Logistics and Freight Forwarding. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to the customer, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive performance, continuous improvement, and long-term account growth.
How will you contribute:
- Act as a key member of the Account Management team, supporting the successful delivery and growth of a strategic global technology customer account.
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, acting as the primary operational point of contact for service delivery, escalations, change requests, and new opportunities.
- Work closely with operational, engineering, IT, and commercial teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered efficiently and consistently.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing services through upselling and cross-selling, supporting the continued growth of the account.
- Prepare and maintain KPI dashboards and customer scorecards to support Monthly, Quarterly, and Executive Business Reviews, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to meet customer expectations and achieve operational and commercial objectives.
- Support the delivery of consistent operational processes and best practices across multiple DP World sites, driving standardisation and operational excellence.
- Lead and coordinate new business opportunities, contract renewals, service changes, and commercial initiatives across both Contract Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
- Support the implementation of new customer solutions and scope expansions, ensuring successful onboarding and operational readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
- Monitor account performance, identifying risks and opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction remains at the highest level.
- Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times, promoting our values, safety culture, ethical standards, and commitment to delivering world-class logistics solutions.

What will you Bring:
- University degree, ideally in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years' experience within Contract Logistics and Freight Forwarding, with broader logistics experience considered advantageous.
- Proven experience managing customer relationships within a key account or operational account management environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across international teams and customer organisations.
- Strong commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach and the ability to balance operational performance with business objectives.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies, with certification considered advantageous.
- Highly organised with excellent planning, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with technology customers is desirable.
- Fluent English is essential, with Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills considered advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 30% of the time.
