Operational Administrator - National Admin

Location: Home & Magna Park, Lutterworth

Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week - Monday to Friday, 07:00am to 5:00pm

BSS is a leading distributor of specialist heating, plumbing, mechanical, and technical products, serving contractors and commercial customers across the UK. Part of Travis Perkins plc, BSS combines deep sector expertise with the scale, strength, and backing of one of the UK’s largest construction and building materials groups.

We now have an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to join our new National Admin team.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid role where you will work remotely from home and in our BSS distribution centre in Magna Park, Lutterworth, which services all BSS branches throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland & Scotland.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Support Services Manager, you will be trained to be multi-skilled for:

  • GRNI (Goods received Not invoiced)
  • Communication with Suppliers
  • Multiskilled in all areas
  • Communication with wider Internal teams
  • Any other Administrative tasks required from the Business Support Services Manager

Requirements

To be successful:

  • Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be to a high standard.
  • You will be organized with the ability to plan your workload, have an aptitude for figures, good IT skills, especially using spreadsheets.
  • At least C grade GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and can naturally generate relationships both locally and remotely.
  • Highly motivated; must have the desire to make things happen on time.
  • Be willing to help others, to work as part of an effective and communicative team.
