We are seeking an experienced Operational Assurance Test (OAT) Lead to support a critical programme of work focused on resilience, disaster recovery, observability and operational readiness.

The Role

As the Operational Assurance Test (OAT) Lead, you will be responsible for designing and executing end-to-end operational testing across business-critical systems and integrations. You will ensure that solutions are resilient, recoverable and supportable under real-world conditions, including failures, outages and disaster recovery scenarios.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical testing experience alongside the ability to work with business and delivery teams to identify operational risks and improve system readiness.

The role is offered on an initial 3 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Testing & Validation

  • Design end-to-end Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) scenarios based on business processes and customer journeys.
  • Execute OAT testing covering:
    • System resilience
    • Disaster Recovery (DR)
    • Observability and monitoring
    • Recovery procedures
    • Operational supportability
  • Validate system behaviour during:
    • Planned failures
    • Partial outages
    • Performance degradation
    • Recovery and restoration activities
  • Conduct failure simulation testing, including API failures, integration failures and infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Verify resilience across end-to-end business and integration flows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
