We're looking for an experienced Operational Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to lead the development of our operational BI capability. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on turning complex operational data into meaningful insight, enjoys solving business challenges through technology, and wants to make a visible impact across a fast-paced operation.
Working closely with teams across Operations, Commercial and Finance, you'll be the go-to expert for business intelligence, leading the design of dashboards, reporting solutions and automation that help our teams work more efficiently and make better-informed decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Operational Business Intelligence Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of operational BI solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL and Power Platform technologies
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports and data models that provide clear, actionable insight
- Partner with operational stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Drive greater visibility of operational KPIs and performance trends
- Develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making
- Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
- Establish and champion best practice in data governance, reporting standards and data quality
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for operational business intelligence and analytics
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of BI professionals
- Promote data-driven decision making across the business

What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak to experienced BI professionals who combine strong technical expertise with a genuine understanding of operational environments.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modelling and dashboard development
- Experience working with SQL for data extraction, transformation and reporting
- Proven ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful business insight
- Experience developing and maintaining performance dashboards, KPIs and operational reporting
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and operational teams
- Experience leading or mentoring teams and developing BI capability
- A track record of driving business improvement through data and analytics
- Experience automating reporting and business processes across multiple data sources

- Experience supporting operational environments such as:
- Field Services
- Logistics
- Engineering Operations
- Telecommunications
- Customer Operations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including dataflows, lakehouses, semantic models and pipelines
- Experience using Power Apps
- Understanding of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled ways of working
