Operational Buyer

Warwick | 12-Month Contract | Inside IR35

Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Operational Buyer to join a leading engineering programme based in Warwick. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys working with complex challenges, analysing large volumes of data and driving solutions in a fast-paced environment.

As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships, order placement, expediting and procurement administration whilst supporting the wider business through informed, data-driven decision making. You'll work extensively with SAP, Excel and Power BI to analyse supplier and purchasing data, identify trends, improve performance and support operational delivery.

We're looking for more than a transactional buyer. This role would suit a proactive "fixer" and solution-seeker who can work with minimal supervision, take ownership of issues and drive them through to resolution. Candidates must be confident working with large volumes of information, possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate a lean, continuous improvement mindset.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
