About Us
Rimac Energy develops the future of power conversion and battery management, extracting the maximum performance potential of battery energy storage systems. We engineer the hardware, software, and intelligence that improve efficiency, usable energy, and lifetime.
Our edge is deep integration - power conversion built into the battery module itself, with batteries, power electronics, software, and thermal management engineered as one system, European-designed and built. We are fast-moving, technically ambitious, and results-driven, and you will work on genuinely complex problems alongside people who care deeply about what they build.
We expect a lot, and we offer a lot: real ownership, real products, and the chance to contribute to technology that pushes the boundaries of what energy systems can do.
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operational Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement of both direct and indirect materials, ensuring the business has what it needs to operate and deliver products on time.
This is a transactional buying role covering purchase order management, supplier coordination, and inventory support across our energy storage product lines. You will work closely with engineering, logistics, and operations teams to ensure materials are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
This role is based at our Witney, Oxfordshire site.
Responsibilities
- Raise, process, and expedite purchase orders for direct and indirect materials in line with business requirements
- Monitor open purchase orders, proactively chase late deliveries, and manage supplier recovery plans to protect production schedules
- Escalate supply risks and potential material shortages to the Procurement Leads in a timely manner
- Manage day-to-day supplier communications, including order confirmations, delivery follow-ups, and discrepancy resolution
- Work with planning and engineering teams to ensure timely material availability aligned to build schedules and project milestones
- Maintain supplier lead time, pricing, and master data in the ERP system (Infor), ensuring accuracy across orders, receipts, and invoices
- Support inventory management activities, including stock monitoring, replenishment, and coordination with warehouse and logistics teams
- Assist with supplier onboarding, including gathering documentation and coordinating account setup
- Support the preparation of requests for quotation (RFQs) and assist with basic commercial evaluations
- Track and report on key procurement metrics such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and spend against budget
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and approval workflows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
