We are recruiting for an Operational Controls Oversight Manager
You will join our Controls Oversight & Assurance team within the COO function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys using data, insight, and strong stakeholder relationships to improve governance, strengthen controls, and help teams deliver great outcomes. Reporting into the Head of Controls Oversight & Assurance, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Aviva Investors' global first line risk and controls framework.

A bit about the role
As an Operational Controls Oversight Manager, you'll help drive a strong and effective risk and controls environment across Aviva Investors. Working closely with business leaders, risk teams, and other key stakeholders, you'll produce meaningful management information, provide governance oversight, and support the identification, assessment, and remediation of risks and control issues. You'll influence improvements in control effectiveness and data quality, contribute to senior governance forums, and help ensure that our operational risk framework remains robust, scalable, and fit for the future. You'll also support and develop colleagues while balancing strategic priorities with key reporting and delivery deadlines.
Skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience within asset management, investment management, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong reporting, management information (MI), and data analysis skills, including confidence working with Excel and large datasets.
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across different business areas and levels of seniority.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes against competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience of governance, risk management, controls oversight, controls testing, process improvement, or related disciplines, alongside excellent communication and facilitation skills.
