Operational Cyber Software Engineer (Active DV Required)
Location: London (On-site)
Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 + DV Bonus
I'm working with a leading organisation at the forefront of National Security that's looking to hire experienced Software Engineers to join its Operational Cyber team in London.
This is an opportunity to work on highly classified programmes where you'll develop mission-critical capabilities that directly support the UK's national security. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team solving complex technical challenges across software engineering, cyber and secure systems development.
The Role
- Designing and developing secure software using modern engineering practices
- Building robust, high-assurance solutions across complex operational environments
- Working with Agile teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities
- Conducting peer reviews and contributing to technical leadership across projects
- Identifying security risks during design and implementation, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded throughout development
- Exploring new technologies and applying them to challenging cyber problems

What They're Looking For
- Strong commercial software engineering experience
- Proficiency in at least one core language such as C++, Java, or C#
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
- Understanding of secure software development and software engineering best practices
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, and version control tools
- Ability to work across Linux and Windows environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Current DV clearance, or eligibility and willingness to undergo DV clearance
