Hygiena International is looking for a proactive and hands-on Operational Excellence & Facilities Coordinator to join our UK Operations team. This is a varied role where you'll support operational excellence initiatives, coordinate facilities management, promote health & safety, and help create an engaging workplace culture.

Working within a collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while developing your career through professional training and recognised qualifications.

What you'll be doing

Operational Excellence

  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Identify process improvements and help deliver sustainable operational efficiencies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Analyse operational data to identify trends and measure improvements.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and best practice documentation.
  • Support change management activities across the business.

Quality

  • Support the Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Investigate non-conformances and CAPAs using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.

Facilities & Health & Safety

  • Coordinate day-to-day facilities activities across office and warehouse environments.
  • Manage contractors and service providers.
  • Support workplace maintenance and office moves.
  • Assist with risk assessments, safety inspections and audits.
  • Maintain incident records and support investigations.
  • Coordinate fire safety, first aid and health & safety initiatives.

Employee Engagement

  • Help organise company events and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement activities throughout the year.
  • Coordinate visitors, meetings and workplace communications.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative and safety-first culture.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator who can build relationships across all levels.
  • Analytical with a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Proactive, adaptable and happy to work across multiple areas of the business.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Experience & Qualifications

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in facilities management, operations and/or health & safety.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma or similar).
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A-levels (or equivalent); a degree is advantageous but not essential.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
  • Continuous improvement or Lean training is advantageous.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Able to commute to our Watford site and work on-site five days per week.
